I have been so excited to start this blog series featuring one closet staple and how you can style it for work day to play day! As busy working moms our days involve daycare drop off, client meetings, presentations, coffee runs, play dates, visits to park and evening strolls as we fill our time to keep up in both roles! Because of this, we need clothing that can easily transition with us throughout the day!
Today I turned to my closet staple piece, a striped blouse! I don't know about you but our family loves stripes. Stripes are so timeless and classic, but they can also create a stylish modern look. I paired my striped blouse this weekend with a pair of green lace shorts and tan wedges. Accented with emrald statement necklace and over the shoulder purse. This look is both causual and cute, allowing you to run around chasing kiddos all afternoon long!
I modified this outfit for work by pairing the same striped blouse with high waisted pants from loft outlet and brought in a pop of color with a yellow tassell necklace! Now your ready to tackle client meetings and that big presentation you have been spending so much time on with confidence and style!
Bonus Looks: There are just so many ways to style a striped shirt so here are two other looks to play around with!
Ditch the heels and pair this black and white striped blouse with your favorite colored chinos and casual sneakers for laid back look or add a pop of color with your favorite sweater and matching flats. Can you tell I have a love for yellow! What color do you feel happiest in? I hope you loved these looks as I can't wait to share even more outfit inspiration each week through this series Work Day to Play Day!
