As it nears November, I am craving apple pie... but I know it is too early to start rolling out the pie crust, so I made these heavenly delights to satisfy my cravings! They are just like a fresh baked apple pie, but in muffin form! Which, if were being honest, is really an excuse to eat dessert for breakfast! These Apple Oatmeal Muffins are so easy to make and definately worth trying for an afternoon snack or weekend brunch! RECIPIE: APPLE OATMEAL MUFFINS serves 12 INGREDIENTS: Dry: 1 1/2 cup Flour 1/2 cup Oats 1/3 cup Sugar 1 teaspoon Baking Powder 1 teaspoon Baking Soda 1 teaspoon Cinnamon + a little extra never hurts :) 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 apples (diced) fold into b

My Little Chevy Man: Clark's Room Tour

Home Decor is so much fun but when it came to deciding how to decorate Clark's room I was a little indecisive. I wanted something that was "kiddish" but that he could also live in for a while with out it being too "baby" if you know what I mean :) My room inspiration came for my husbands vehicle of choice, a chevy pick up, which he has driven ever since he turned 16. What could be more boyish than a dirty greasy ol truck! I used a mixture of modern furniture and vintage pieces. The two framed chevy adds are origionals from the 1920's and 1930's! How cool right! I think my husband was a little jealous that they were not going into our room! This is actually a fairly small room which made fur

Creepy Crawly Home Decor

Halloween is creeping in! Can you believe it is already October and time to get out all the creepy crawly halloween decor! Halloween has never been a holiday I looked forward to. I was not a big candy eater as a kid and being goofy and dressing up, was just not my thing. However, since this little bug came along, I have truely embraced and loved ALL the holidays with him! This year the halloween decor came out just a little early while it was still september, but that's close enough right? I kept the decor scheme pretty simple black and whites with pops of orange and lots of texture and patterns! Patterns are playful and so are kids, so naturally, I feel the two should go together! In our ho

PUMPKIN PATCH FUN

It's Fall Yall! I have been anxiously awaiting October 1st, the kick start to all the wonderful holidays season this year! To welcome the change of season, we spent October 1st at Sweet Berry Farms! A close friend recommended coming here and we are so glad we did! Coming from South Austin, it was just a short road trip to Marble Falls, TX to this wonderful place! Clark immediately found himself a pumpkin out of a bin close to the entrance. He called it his "bumpkin" which was so adorable! I love how quickly he picks up new words and it is so cute hearing him discover his voice. He was very interested in all there was to see at Sweet Berry and there was a lot that they offered! I love that t

STYLING AROUND A TV

I had the hardest time choosing how style our TV wall so this big black frame wasn't idle on the wall. Suprisingly enough, this was the first space I completed in our home. After much pinterst searching, I knew the only way this odd shaped wall could truly shine was to create a picture gallery. It took the approach of the TV being the largest picture frame (it a sense it is right?) Then I stratigically planned out what sizes and frames I would need to balance out the wall. I started with the middle. These three square picture frames from target fit the width of the TV almost perfectly! Next was to create asymetrical balance to both the right and left of the screen. I created a grouping of
